The rootsy trio Middle Brother (known for about five seconds as MG&V) is an alt supergroup of sorts, made up of Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, John McCauley of Deer Tick and Matthew Vasquez of Delta Spirit. They’re just a handful of gigs into their existence as a band and the buzz is strong—sure, the pedigree doesn’t hurt, but the music is good. Of their December L.A. show, KCRW wrote: "From the moment the first note rang out you could feel something special, almost cosmic in the air.” Below is video of them performing the song Daydreaming at their very first performance ever during at SXSW 2010.
No tour dates planned for the city as yet, but you can bet they’ll be all over NYC when their self-titled debut album on Partisan Records comes out on March 1. Download Me Me Me, from their debut album due March 1, below.
