Is Whitney Port Leaving Her Job?

The rumor mills were churning all day with the news that Whitney Port, formerly of MTV's "The Hills" and currently of "The City" fame, might be leaving her much-publicized post at Diane von Furstenberg. The reason? Apparently her (let's face it, not nearly as talented) costar, Olivia Palermo, beat Port out for a coveted spot as a publicist for DvF in London.

Page Six got all the details from an unnamed "source" (classically), and points out that Port will apparently be filming scenes for the show's second season at Los Angeles PR firm People's Revolution—a.k.a. her former gig. Now, as you may recall, the head of People's Revolution—Kelly Cutrone—might know a thing or two about losing jobs ... she was pretty publicly dumped by label Yigal Azrouel after she sat Elliot Spitzer's former call girl in the front row at his fashion week presentation. Maybe they can bond about their trials and tribulations in big, bad New York now that they're safely back in the land of sun and traffic?

But all of this raises a much larger question: Is "The City" still "The City" if one of its major stars isn't even living in New York anymore?
