Is Lawrence Taylor Learning to Tango?

When ABC announces the cast of the new season of "Dancing With the Stars" on February 8th, they may be making history. If Lawrence Taylor is one of the contestants, it will represent the first story ever broken by Ashton Kutcher's Twitter account.

Demi Moore's husband reported running into the Giant legend at the Super Bowl over the weekend, and provided a little update about his future plans.

"Just met LT, the old school, Lawrence Taylor. Expect to see him in prime time soon. Can't say where but he better work on his foot work."

Unless there's a pilot being shopped for a show called "Celebrity Podiatrist," a chillingly plausible show, it sounds like Taylor will join the likes of Jerry Rice, Warren Sapp and Emmitt Smith as a would-be Fred Astaire. It boggles the mind to think of the snarling scourge of quarterbacks cha-chaing in a sequined shirt, but the show's popular and Taylor may be looking for a little public image growth.

He was recently on WFAN with Mike Francesa, and he spoke an awful lot about money and seemed quite jealous of the current salaries paid in the NFL. Padding his own bank account was clearly on his mind, so there's another motivation to getting back into the spotlight.

It will be interesting to see if LT brings the same competitiveness to the dance floor that he brought to the playing field. Will one of the other dancers open his door at three in the morning to find a hooker there? That doesn't apply if one of the other dancers is Charlie Sheen, by the way. It would be an interesting twist for the program, that's for sure.
