“Home Alone” House Sells At Major Discount

A new non-McCallister family is about to inherit the "Home Alone" house after it recently sold for $1.585 million, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. The owners of the colonial Georgian home from the popular nineties flick originally wanted $2.4 million for the notable crib, but it looks like the home's fame did nothing to work in the seller's favor. The walls of the dining room were hand-painted by artist Sydney Bristow. The "English Garden" illustration is fitting, as the windows in this room overlook the real-life gardens and greenhouse outside.
