A man punched and kicked a woman while trying to steal her cell phone on a subway train in Prospect Park earlier this month, police say.
The 39-year-old woman was riding a southbound Q train on a Friday afternoon when the man went up to her and tried to grab her phone, according to police.
The man punched and kicked the woman in her head and body, but the woman was able to hang onto the phone and the man ran away from the subway car, police said.
The woman was not seriously injured and refused medical attention after getting off at Prospect Park train station.
Police released photos of the 20-something-year-old suspect on Sunday.
