Expect another few days of uncomfortably hot and steamy weather in the tri-state, with some showers and storms popping up, before cooler temperatures set in and make way for a beautiful weekend, Storm Team 4 says.
Humidity was continuing to rise Tuesday, and it felt like temperatures were in the low 90s by the afternoon. A few pop-up showers and thunderstorms were forming into the evening, and although widespread severe weather is not expected, any shower or thunderstorm has the potential to deliver gusty winds and briefly heavy downpours.
Flash flood warnings and flood advisories are in effect for parts of the tri-state.
It will feel tropical overnight, with low temperatures in the low to mid 70s.
Wednesday will be another hot and steamy day, with temperatures headed into the upper 80s. A few gusty thunderstorms will fire up during the afternoon and evening hours, and any thunderstorm could bring gusty winds, lightning and brief downpours. Some of the storms could linger into Thursday morning, and another round of showers and thunderstorsm are possible Thursday afternoon and evening.
Temperatures on Thursday will be cooler, with highs only in the 70s.
Storm Team 4 says we should see a nice stretch of weather Friday through the weekend, with plenty of sunshine and temperatures reaching 85 to 90 degrees.
