President Donald Trump will host a fundraising breakfast in New York City next month, according to a published report.
The Daily News reports that an invite shows that the president will be hosting a breakfast with tickets ranging from $1,000 per individual to $50,000 for a VIP table for 10.
Organized by Trump’s campaign and the RNC, the breakfast will likely include discussion of the GOP tax plan. Democrats and Republicans alike in the state have opposed the GOP proposal to scrap state and local property taxes deductions as part of the bill.
Republican Rep. Peter King stated that high-tax states like New York would take the brunt of the damage.
“Hopefully he comes in and doesn’t get a free ride,“ King told the News. “It’s an opportunity to really drive home how devastating this is for New York.”
The event is scheduled for Dec. 2.
