One woman slashed another woman with a knife amid an argument over seating on the subway early Thursday, police say.
According to authorities, the victim sat down on a train at the Bronx's Parkchester station and then the other woman flashed a knife and slashed her in the knee.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Subways were affected briefly as authorities investigated.
It's the second time this month a fight over subway seating has led to violence in the borough. On June 9, a man with 12 prior arrests allegedly stabbed a pregnant woman and her friend on a crowded 2 train in Morrisania. At least one of the women needed stitches; the status of the pregnant woman's baby wasn't known.
