NYC Purse-Snatcher Stalks Woman, Drags Her Into Parked Car: Cops

A man stalked a woman trying to get inside her Brooklyn home before he suddenly grabbed her purse, pulled her off her porch and smacked her straight into a car, police say.

The NYPD says it was around 3:30 a.m. July 4 when the 20-something-year-old man followed the woman to her building’s front door in Williamsburg. Once the woman had unlocked the door and started heading inside, the attacker pounced.

He grabbed the woman’s purse off her shoulder and pulled her off the stoop, police said. The woman fell over and hit her face against a parked car.

The robber ran off with the woman’s purse, which had $200, a cell phone and several credit cards, police said.

The woman suffered minor facial injuries and was taken to an area hospital where she was treated.

Video from the scene shows the attacker using his white shirt to cover his face as the woman tries to get inside. Seconds go by and the video shows him grab the woman’s purse, drag her and run off.

Police urge witnesses to call Crime Stoppers with tips.
