Cops Seek Suspect in MTA Bus Driver Punch

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers

Police are looking for the suspect who assaulted an MTA bus driver in the Bronx earlier this month.

Authorities say the suspect, described as being 15 to 18 years old, boarded a BX21 bus at Ferris Place and Westchester Avenue just before 10 p.m. Aug. 15 and, without provocation, punched the driver in the mouth.

The suspect then ran off. The bus driver's mouth bled, but he was otherwise OK, police said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online.
