An overturned vehicle led to the temporary closure of the outbound upper level of the George Washington Bridge late Tuesday morning.
Delays on the New Jersey-bound route were quickly back to the Bronx River Parkway, with an estimated travel time of more than 40 minutes just before noon.

Initial reports suggested a vehicle overturned under the Fletcher St. overpass. The accident was quickly cleared and the bridge reopened, but the delays remained.
