A falcon trapped in a Manhattan basement was rescued by police officers Wednesday, the NYPD said.
The adult bird somehow made its way into the basement of a business in SoHo.
Officers climbed over boxes to reach the bird and then used a towel to scoop it up.
The falcon was taken to the Wild Bird Fun on Columbus Avenue, where it was being treated Wednesday night.
Despite being dehydrated, the bird seemed to be in good health, police said.
