Authorities have revived the manhunt for a man who disappeared into the woods after his daughter-in-law was shot to death in 2012, law enforcement sources tell News 4.
The sources said the U.S. Marshals N.Y./N.J. Regional Fugitive Task Force will revive their search for Eugene Palmer, who would now be 78 years old.
Police believed Palmer succumbed to the elements after he vanished in to the woods after the slaying. He was 73 at the time.
The revival of the manhunt suggests there's new info that leads authorities to believe Palmer is still alive.
In 2012, Palmer was indicted on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of Tammy Palmer, who was shot to death with a shotgun on Sept. 24.
Eugene Palmer's truck was found later that day in Harriman State Park, and Haverstraw officers searched for days without finding him.
Relatives said Eugene Palmer was angered by problems between Wendy Palmer and his son, John.
