NY resident in critical condition after being hit by motorcycle in Conn.: police

Police said both men suffered serious injuries.

A pedestrian and a motorcyclist were both taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the motorcycle hit a man in Stamford in October, and police have charged the motorcyclist, according to police.

The crash happened at the intersection of Atlantic Street and Tresser Boulevard around 7:41 p.m. on the night of Wednesday. Oct. 30.

Police said a 28-year-old Stamford man was driving a 2023 Kawasaki, heading west on Tresser Boulevard, and hit a 24-year-old pedestrian who was walking across the intersection.

The pedestrian, a 24-year-old New York man, suffered critical injuries and was taken to Stamford Hospital, police said.

The motorcyclist was knocked off the motorcycle and suffered serious injuries. He was also taken to Stamford Hospital, police said.

Police have charged the morotcyclist with assault in the second degree and reckless operation. He was released after posting a $50,000 bond and he is due in court on Feb. 3.
