One person was killed in a crash involving a Monmouth County sheriff's van and a civilian vehicle in Wall Township, authorities say.
The sheriff's office says one of its special operations vehicles collided with a vehicle as it emerged onto Belmar Boulevard from Adrienne Road Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the passenger vehicle died; the two people inside the Monmouth sheriff's van were not hurt.
The area was blocked off as police and EMS responded.
