A Long Island woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly crashed her car while driving drunk with her 2-year-old child loose in the back seat, police said.
Kimesha McPherson, 30, allegedly crashed her car into two parked cars at about 6 p.m. on Eagle Avenue and Thrush Avenue in Lakeview, authorities said.
When police responded they found McPherson's 2-year-old daughter in the backseat without a child restraint.
Police administered a breathalyzer and McPherson allegedly had a blood-alcohol content of 0.22, nearly three times the legal alcohol limit.
She was arrested and charged with a number of crimes, including aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child. She was awaiting arraignment Thursday, authorities said.
The 2-year-old was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
