Man Sentenced to 31 Years in Prison for Brooklyn Armed Robberies: DA

A man was sentenced for 31 years in prison for a spree of armed robberies in Brooklyn, authorities said.

Justin Farrow, 31, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was convicted in relation to four incidents in August 2015 where he robbed four women walking by themselves at night in Windsor Terrace and Kensington, Brooklyn. He approached his victims from behind, flashed a handgun and stole their property. He then told them to walk away without looking back. He then fled to the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station.

In one incident, Farrow hit a victim with the bottom of his gun, injuring her head and ear, until she complied and handed over her bag.

“For more than a week, this defendant preyed upon vulnerable women walking alone at night, robbing and terrorizing them at gunpoint. Such cowardly acts of violence have no place on the streets of Brooklyn. Today’s sentence ensures that this defendant will be off of our streets and in prison for a very long time,” said acting District Attorney Eric Gonzalez.

A witness to the latest incident called 911, and police subsequently arrested Farrow.
