Suspect Charged With Deadly Assault at LIRR Station

Niheim Levy, 34, was charged with first-degree murder and robbery

A suspect was arrested and charged with murdering a man who died after falling onto the train tracks at a Long Island Rail Road Station early Saturday, officials said.

Niheim Levy, 34, was charged with first-degree murder and robbery for his role in what police describe as a verbal dispute that turned into a physical fight at the Bellmore train station.

The victim, 49, has not been identified by authorities.

Officials initially believed that the victim had fallen onto the tracks and been electrocuted by the third rail after he had a seizure.

Information on an attorney for Levy was not immediately available.
