A Long Island man was arrested Sunday for allegedly setting fire to a car owned by a woman with whom he had an ongoing dispute.
Donald Ferrus, 26, of Lakeview, tossed an unidentified liquid into a 2014 Honda ignited it at 9:30 a.m. Friday as the car's owner watched from her Melvin Avenue residence in Lakeview, according to Nassau County detectives. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which caused extensive damage.
Ferrus fled, but was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with third-degree arson, detectives said.
