1. Flight From Newark Leaves Passengers Covered in Bed Bug Bites

Passengers flying from Newark Liberty International Airport to Mumbai on an Air India flight last week said in a series of tweets that the plane was infested with bed bugs, leaving the travelers with bites across their bodies.

Air India responded to customer complaints in a statement, and the airline plans to temporarily ground flights between Newark and Mumbai, according to The Independent.

New Zealand news outlet Stuff reported that a passenger surveyed the area around the seats after her daughter complained of a rash. The woman reportedly noticed a bed bug on her husband’s seat before takeoff but dismissed it.

2. These NYC Bus Routes Are the Slowest and Least Reliable

A New York City bus line is so incredibly slow it cannot outpace a running chicken, according to a new report.

The M42, which clocks at a sluggish 3.2 mph, is the slowest of more than 200 local bus routes. To put the M42’s speed in perspective, a chicken runs up to 9 mph.

Because of this, the M42 received the un-coveted “Pokey” award for the slowest bus route — the fifth time in 15 years the M42 won the award.

The second slowest bus route is the Bx19, which comes in at 4.6 mph, followed closely by the B63, at 4.7 mph.

They're valued way higher than anybody else on Instagram, but Kim and Kendall and Khloé also made the top 11.
