Empire State Building Shines for Both Mets, Yankees During Subway Series

No matter which side of the local baseball divide, New Yorkers can expect to see their team colors represented in twinkling lights on the Empire Side Building during the Subway Series this week.

The "World's Most Famous Office Building" will honor both the Yankees and the Mets by showcasing the teams' colors on each side of the tower from Monday through Thursday.

At the beginning of each game, the north and south sides of the building will shine bright with pinstripes for the Yankees, while the east and west sides will be lit up in orange and blue honoring the Mets.

The winning team's colors will shine over Manhattan for 10 minutes at the end of each game. After the final game on Thursday, the Empire State Building will celebrate the winning team with a customized light show on the building's tower in the team's colors.

The colors will be showcased on the building until 2 a.m.

The first two games are being played at Citi Field, the last two at Yankee Stadium.
