New Jersey authorities say state police and Camden police fatally shot an armed man outside a city home early Saturday.
Several troopers and officers responded to the home around 1:30 a.m., after a resident there reported that a man outside the home was waving a handgun around.
A short time later, officials say multiple shots were fired by multiple officers and troopers. The man -- whose identity has not been released -- was pronounced dead at the scene, and the gun was recovered.
The state Attorney General's office is heading the investigation, which is standard procedure when a state trooper is involved in a shooting.
