At least eight people were taken to Brooklyn hospitals after a car hit two other vehicles before plowing into four people on the sidewalk nearby, the NYPD said.
The FDNY said everyone involved in the crash at Farragut Road and Flatbush Avenue in Flatbush about 8:45 p.m were taken to area hospitals. Two of the pedestrians had serious injuries from the crash, but NYPD officials tell News 4 that all four of them are expected to survive.
Surveillance footage obtained from a shop nearby shows two cars attempting to turn onto Farragut Road when a Mercedes comes screaming down the roadway, smashing into both of the cars before barreling onto the sidewalk.
It's not clear if any charges will be filed in the case. Police were at the scene late Friday interviewing witnesses.
