Apes Caught Invading New York City

A gang of seemingly confused apes were recently spotted strolling around Times Square, posing for pictures on 7th Avenue and in front of the High School Musical 3 billboard.  But no worries, these apes did not crash land here after a long space hibernation on Icarus.  No, these apes were in town to promote the 40th Anniversary Collection Blu-Ray release of the sci-fi classic franchise, Planet of the Apes

Wired reports it's the "Planet of the Apes 40 Year Evolution Blu-ray Collection", and "includes all five Apes films in HD, including Beneath The Planet Of The Apes, Escape From The Planet Of The Apes, Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes, Battle For The Planet Of The Apes and the 1968 original."

20th Century Fox brought the apes to Times Square to promote the collection's release, and probably scare a few New Yorkers in the process.  For a review of the collection, visit Scifi Storm, or just buy it for $99.95 on Amazon.
