A toddler drowned in a backyard pool in New Jersey Monday afternoon, authorities say.
The 2-year-old child was found unconscious in an in-ground pool on Sharpe Street in Hackettstown, according to police.
Emergency responders resuscitated the child took the child to Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, then flown by Atlantic Air 1 to Morristown Memorial Hospital, police said.
Police had no comment on whether the child was under adult supervision at the time, and it's not clear whether the pool was covered. They say they're investigating.
There have been no arrests.
