Man Jumps Counter, Uses Stun Gun on Clerk in Bronx Bodega Robbery: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who jumped over the counter of a Bronx bodega and used a stun gun on the store’s 36-year-old clerk during a robbery Saturday.

The man entered the bodega on Anthony Avenue in Mt Hope just before midnight and attacked the clerk, the NYPD said.

As he and the two men struggled behind the counter, a second suspect walked into the store and took an unknown amount of cash from the register, police said. The two men then fled.

Police released surveillance video of the attack, which shows the first suspect, whose face is covered by a piece of black cloth, jump the counter and lunge at the clerk before the second suspect walks in.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
