An NYPD sergeant has been accused of possessing child pornography, authorities said.
Alberto Randazzo, 36, was arrested Monday at his Astoria home and charged with using a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.
The Daily News reports police discovered the alleged pornography on a computer belonging to the 15-year NYPD veteran, though it wasn't clear if it was a personal or department device.
The paper also said Randazzo has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
It wasn't immediately clear if Randazzo had an attorney.
