Police say they've arrested a man who stopped for a slice of pizza after holding up a New York cellphone store employee.
Rotterdam Police Lt. William Male says the 43-year-old Schenectady man robbed a Cricket Wireless store Tuesday, holding up a clerk with a knife before tying the woman up with a USB cord and fleeing with a bank deposit bag. The Times Union of Albany reports after the suspect fled the store, he stopped in a few nearby businesses to use a bathroom and buy a slice of pizza.
Male says police arrested the publicly unidentified suspect in Schenectady with a "sum of money." Officials say they are working to identify if the suspect spent any money.
Authorities say the suspect faces robbery charges.
