One of the victims of the Newport Centre Mall shooting that took place Friday in Jersey City has been arrested on an open warrant from a previous incident.

According to a Jersey City spokeswoman, Kalil Holmes is facing 11 counts related to an incident that took place Wednesday — two days prior to the shooting.

Holmes is facing multiple charges, including aggravated assault with serious bodily injury, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, criminal attempt and conspiracy.

Holmes and another person were injured in the Friday shooting in what authorities say began as a fistfight in a food court. 

One of the victims suffered wounds to the stomach and another victim in the arm. It is unclear which injury Holmes sustained. Both victims have since been released from the hospital.

Authorities haven't said who fired the shots inside the mall.

Holmes also was served a summons for rioting related to the shooting.

Attorney information for Holmes was not immediately clear.
