Police are asking for the public's help to locate a man with a machete who is seen in surveillance video walking into a Bronx laundromat and stealing cash from a locked cabinet.
The theft occurred at about 11:50 p.m. Friday at the Giant Laundromat at 700 Southern Boulevard in the Woodstock neighborhood, investigators said.
The video shows the man walk behind the counter and use the machete to pry open a locked cabinet. He then pulls out what police say was an undisclosed amount of cash and strolls out the front door.
No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect has been identified as Jose Arguilar, a 200-pound, partially bald man.
