Police are looking for a suspect who they say stole a can of beer from a Brooklyn grocery store after pretending to have a gun.
The man, who police say is in his 20s, allegedly entered the store on Gleason Avenue in Bushwick just after 3 p.m. on Jan. 11 and demanded money from the cashier.
When the cashier said there was no money in the register, police say the suspect went behind the counter and pretended to have a gun while making threats. The suspect then took a cell phone and a can of beer before fleeing.
Police released a photo of the suspect captured on surveillance footage (above). Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stopper at 800-577-TIPS.
