You might remember the disturbing surveillance video, shown above, of a man grabbing an elderly woman's purse out of her hands in broad daylight, forcefully throwing her down on the pavement, and then returning to help her up.
The attack occured in East Harlem on the morning of June 5th.
Police arrested the suspect, 35-year-old Arnel Munoz, in his East Harlem home Friday afternoon after victim Margarita Fuentes identified him as the man who attacked her.
A tipster called in Munoz's name to police. Previously, he had faced a variety of charges for drug possession and burglary, according to the Daily News. He was charged with second-degree robbery and grand larceny in connection with the June mugging.
