An MTA bus driver was arrested at lunchtime Thursday after allegedly stealing from a Subway restaurant tip jar following a dispute with a worker over the price of a beverage.
Police say the 50-year-old driver got into an argument with the sandwich artist at the Subway on Rockaway Beach Boulevard while his purchase was being calculated at the register.
The bus driver became irate, took a dollar from the tip jar and fled, police said.
He is charged with petit larceny.
