1. CT Man Robbed Bank for Cash to Impress Taylor Swift: Police

A man in Connecticut allegedly robbed a bank in an attempt to steal Taylor Swift's heart. 

Police say the 26-year-old man is accused of robbery and it was all an attempt to impress the superstar singer. He also allegedly drove all the way to the singer's mansion in Rhode Island and threw the cash over her fence.

2. NY the Most Tax-Burdened State in US; CT, NJ Also Rank in Top 10

Even though there are many reasons to love New York, taxes are definitely not one of them. 

Almost 13 percent of each New Yorker's personal income goes to Uncle Sam, making New York the state with the highest tax burden. New Jersey and Connecticut also rank in the top 10.

3. NYC Restaurant Named Among Best in the Country for 2018

Food & Wine Magazine revealed its annual picks for the best restaurants of the year and one New York City spot made the list. 

Fairfax in the West Village was crowned as being among the Creme De La Creme in the country. The cozy, all-day cafe, wine bar and restaurant serves season fare. 

It was the only restaurant in the tri-state to pop up on the list.
