At Least 7 Feral Cats Poisoned in Central New York

Humane society officials say at least seven cats have been poisoned by antifreeze-laced cat food left in a parking lot near Cornell University in Ithaca.

The Tompkins County SPCA says only one of the seven sickened cats has survived and appears to be doing well.

The cats were part of a managed feral colony in the Collegetown neighborhood of Ithaca.

The SPCA considers the poisonings intentional and is continuing its investigation.
