Connecticut Man Charged With Murder in Highway Ramp Stabbing

A man has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man during a fight on a highway ramp in Bridgeport.

Connecticut State Police say 36-year-old Anthony Espinal has been charged with murder and is being held on $250,000 bond. It was not immediately known whether he has an attorney.

Authorities say state police were called to a confrontation between two people late Thursday night on the off-ramp from Route 8 southbound.

Troopers found the victim, Bryant Kelly of Bridgeport, severely injured and provided medical care, but he died a short time later at a hospital. A medical examiner determined Kelly died from a stab wound.

Espinal is due to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Thursday. A phone number listed for him was not in service.
