Police are investigating a doubling shooting that left two dead in the middle of the day on West 16th Street in Chelsea.
Police say they responded to a call of shots fired at about 10:50 a.m. Monday in the bustling area between Ninth and 10th avenues near the Chelsea Market and Highline Ballroom.
A 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head was pronounced dead by paramedics. Another man, 20, had gunshot and stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and later died.
The investigation is ongoing.
