NJ Teens Carjack Woman, Crash Into Car With Baby Inside After Chase: Police

Two 13-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy have been accused of stealing a woman's car at gunpoint, leading police on a chase, and crashing into another vehicle with a baby inside.

Police said the three teens held up the woman with a rifle before stealing her car in Hillside Friday morning, according to authorities. Then, a few hours later, police spotted the car in and began pursuing the vehicle.

The chase entered a neighborhood in Newark, and the teens struck two other vehicles near Hawthorne Avenue and Hunterdon Street.

One of the teens was seriously injured in the crash. The baby in the other vehicle was unharmed in the gnarly crash, as was the child's mother.

Chopper 4 footage from over the scene Friday afternoon, showed three badly damaged vehicles on the residential street. One of the vehicles had been flung into someone's front yard, with debris scattered about the sidewalk.

The carjacking, pursuit and crash are all under investigation.
