A Newark man was shot and killed when gunfire erupted on a city street.
Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray says 25-year-old Michael Hall was shot around 2 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of Renner Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. No arrests have been made.
Further details on the shooting were not disclosed, including what type of weapon was used and how many assailants may have been involved.
