Twitter Controversy Arises From Bayless Dinner at White House

Chicago-based chef and Top Chef Masters season 1 winner Rick Bayless is preparing for his big state dinner tonight for Mexican president Felipe Calderon, but yesterday there was a bit of drama tied to the Twitter. Apparently, it is a no-no to tweet from the White House and a Chicago Sun-Times writer accused Bayless of doing just that in a blog post called "Rick Bayless, Obama State Dinner guest chef not muzzled, Twittering from White House kitchen." Tuesday morning RB did note the diminutive size of the kitchen, but - Aha! - he was complaining from his hotel room. (Really though, you're dissing the executive kitchen?). Bayless demanded an apology from the writer, also over Twitter of course. She amended her story. The end. [via Epi-Log]
