Susan Sarandon At BAM

Susan Sarandon is putting down the ping-pong paddle for a series of appearances at BAM's "The Susan Sarandon Picture Show" tribute. Tonight, she leads a post-screening discussion of 1992's druggy "Light Sleeper" with director (and classic Scorsese collaborator) Paul Schrader. $13 tickets here. 7:45 p.m.

The Grammy-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus kicks off a trio of dates with composer Nico Muhly at St. Ann's Warehouse tonight. They'll support Muhly's "Tell The Way," which is described as "propulsive travel music" based on Medieval and colonial English narratives. The National guitarist Bryce Dessner jumps into the mix, as do strings, percussion, piano and flute ensembles. Check out rehearsal footage for an early taste. $35 tickets here. 7 p.m.

David Foster Wallace: The Musical, it's not. But contemporary music collective Sequitur, known for integrating theater, cabaret and literature, does devote tonight's Symphony Space performance of composer Eric Moe's "Tri-Stan" to the gone-too-soon author. "Cocktail and Conversation" with the Sequitur crew precede its synthesis of music and Wallace's texts. $15 - $34 tickets here. 7:30 p.m.
