Mercat tells us it has amicably parted ways with chef Ryan Lowder and its kitchen is now under the direction of one of its opening chefs, Jalinson Rodriguez, as well as Arnau Satorras Arriols, formerly of the Michelin-starred Barcelona restaurant Can Jubany. Plus, a week out of every month, their menu will be complemented by one from a visiting Spanish chef. Here’s what’s really exciting: We’re told that a sister restaurant named Cap I Pota will open in Williamsburg this spring. More info as it comes.
