J. Crew for Juniors Hits Tribeca

Boys and girls: You've now got your very own, 2,000-square-foot Crewcuts store at 50 Hudson in TriBeCa.

The honey-colored space is stocked with Crewcuts' miniature chic clothing, shoes and accessories, as well as J. Crew's usual array of items from beloved designers, (Think Schliech toy airplanes and pinata decor by Confetti System.)

WWD followed J. Crew CEO Mickey Drexler on his tour of the store, as he pondered the store's knick-knack possibilities (“Is there a Schleich World the way there is a Lego World? Do they make other cars and trucks? Could we do a little Schleich shop?") and moving through the shoe department (“Can you have footprints leading down the wall? Is there any way to talk about [footwear] a little more?")

Creative Director Jenna Lyons was also on hand, highlighting the shop's sophistication: According to Lyons: "We’re designing for parents who want sophisticated, better clothing. We’re creating an environment that complements the clothing.”
