Alex Wang Shop Preps For Fashion Week

Amid a flurry of Fashion Week invites, presentation appointments, and tweets, we were thrilled to see an Alexander Wang store press invite slide into our inbox via increasingly popular to-do tracker, Fashion GPS.

A February 16 "private" press invite on behalf of the much-buzzed-about "it boy" designer and sample sale headliner indicates that the brick-and-mortar boutique is inching closer to an opening at Yohji Yamamoto's former 103 Grand Street space. Whether this means a public store opening could happen next week is anyone's guess: Wang's about-to-open speculation status spanned the entirety of last summer into Fall Fashion Week, stretching into the New Year.)

Still, taxi-topping store ads and industry buzz must mean that the city is closer than ever to gaining Wang storefront.
