Julianne Hough Visits Cancer Patients, Weighs In On ‘Dancing' Rumors

Julianne Hough brought Access Hollywood along on a recent visit to the Huntsman Cancer Institute in her hometown of Salt Lake City, where the “Dancing With the Stars” two-time winner and country sweetheart met with fans battling the disease.

“It’s so hard to see anyone going through cancer,” she told Access. “You try to keep it together while you’re there.”

The fight against cancer is a personal one for Julianne, whose stepmother overcame breast cancer.

The hometown stop came on a break from her tour with Brad Paisley, where the blooming singer is promoting her first album.

“Every week I always look at the sales and it keeps going up and up and up, so I’m so grateful for the fans who still want to buy it and support it,” she said, promising another single, “My Hallelujah Song,” in September.

Julianne couldn’t give away any “DWTS” details – nothing’s been revealed, she says, including her own status on the show.

“Nobody knows,” she said. “If they don’t ask me back, I’ll stay on tour and keep singing — the music is where my heart is.”

But she’d be happy to return, crediting the show for launching her country career.

Julianne did offer her take on several “DWTS” rumors, including whether she’d like to see potential contender, openly gay star Lance Bass, dance with a male partner.

“I think if two guys are dancing on TV, it’s just another leap of change,” she said. “I totally support it.”

As for other possible contestants, she thinks Denise Richards could make a good contestant.

“She’s hot, she’d look good in the outfits,” Julianne said.

And Kim Kardashian?
