The Kardashians Are Opening a Store in Soho

Lauded designers like Isabel Marant, Phillip Lim, and Marc Jacobs will soon have an LA-trendy neighbor in the form of a New York extension of the Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's west coast-based store, Dash.

As a source told Page Six, "They had been looking all over SoHo and the Meatpacking area for the right space, and found one on Spring Street."

Granted, for the past decade Soho has been a hodgepodge of well-regarded brands and less-than-fashion-forward chains (read: Hollister), but of late a rash of It-designer openings from Isabel Marant and (coming soon) Alexander Wang have seemed to re-position Soho in a more design-focused direction. The Kardashians' storefront may put a bit of weigh on the other side of the scale, even if they do seem to stock some worthy labels: According to the MySpace page for the LA boutique (yep, it has a MySpace page), the store stocks everything from See by Chloe and Catherine Malandrino to Hanky Panky and Ella Moss.
