Ralph Lauren Black Label Adds Denim

Welcome to the impeccably tailored, all-American-luxe mix: Ralph Lauren Black Label Denim.

During his fall 2011 preview, Lauren walked WWD through the newest components to his ever-strong, ever-evolving fashion empire. Cargo pants and jeans with skinny and wide leg silhouettes are meant for fans of the sharp, classic Black Label sportswear and, along with women's jeans, came about when the designer started hanging out at his new flagship store.

According to WWD, Lauren noticed women shopping primarily in denim (sounds about right) and "realized we don’t have high-quality, high-fit denim,” he said. “So we did it for men and women. I wanted to make it a full business on a high level.”
