We missed out on Phillip Lim's special 10PM show for American Express cardholders at the very close of fashion week, and it sounds like we missed quite a show. Not only was Andre Leon Tally in attendance, one model fell repeatedly on the runway and one attendant lost her lunch.
One lucky New York Magazine reporter bore witness to the entire thing -- and wrote about it in gut-wrenching detail. The show was meant to be a repeat of Lim's Spring 2010 collection (pictured) exclusively for American Express cardholders, complete with fancy Skybox (you know, where we got to meet Tim Gunn?), and while the looks we're sure were equally amazing, it sounds like one model took a series of terrible stumbles. The falls were so bad, in fact, that she didn't actually get up from the last one -- a friend had to help her the rest of the way.
What's worse, a drunken intern in the crowd apparently vomited in the middle of the show and didn't even have the courtesy to step outside! All in all, it sounds like a heck of a way to bring fashion week to a close.
