Bobcat Goldthwait Prepping Reality TV Death Fantasy, “God Bless America”

If you've seen "World's Greatest Dad," you know what a seriously dark, demented and funny place Bobcat Goldthwait's mind is. Next up from the comedian-turned-filmmaker is the tale of a man pushed over the brink by the idiocy of reality TV.

The film was inspired by the show "My Super Sweet 16," which focuses on some terrible, ungrateful spoiled brat preparing to waste a mountain of her parents money for her own amusement. He broke it down during a recent appearance on The Adam Carolla Show (around the 60 minute mark--by way of Cinema Blend):

"It's a movie where there's a guy, like a middle aged and he's at home and he's watching a show like My Super Sweet 16...there's always a horrible kid who gets everything she wants... 'I wanted an Escalade! You ruin everything--you're so stupid.' So he's sitting at home watching a show like that and he drives 400 miles and kills that girl--spoiler alert!-- and a classmate (of the girl) asks, 'Did you kill Chloe?' And he doesn't say anything, and she goes, 'Awesome.' So then they get in this stolen Camaro and drive around killing people. We're hoping for Christmas--a Christmas release!"

If all you know of Goldthwait is his work in the "Police Academy" films, go see "World's Greatest Dad" and then join us in patiently waiting for "God Bless America," a film so good that it reminds you that Robin Williams can stil be funny.
