For her upcoming North American tour, announced yesterday, Miz Jackson will give her rhythm nation just the hits.
The “Janet Jackson Number Ones, Up Close and Personal Tour," which kicks off March 4 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium, will pull songs solely from her Number Ones album, ensuring a different, fan-favorite setlist each night. According to MTV, Jackson will only be performing the 35 chart-topping singles in the collection and is favoring smaller, more acoustically intimate venues.
Jackson will hit Radio City Music Hall on March 18. Tickets are not yet available but presale begins this Friday at 9am.
This marks her first tour since 2008’s Rock Witchu jaunt, which unfortunately coincided with the singer’s health problems and endured many canceled shows. As fans may recall, Number Ones was also the title of her brother Michael's greatest hits album.
